“Oh c’mon!” I shouted loudly at the dormitories when I noticed my gloves weren´t there. Seriously? Did I really leave my gloves to greenhouses? I thought that I could have little bit fun today and go to the quidditch ground. I could fly but of course I bumped into a hamper. I felt so lazy today but I had no choise. Someone could take my gloves and throw them away. I didn’t have enough money to buy new gloves which would be skin of a dragon. I just loved dragon’s leather gloves. They felt so good and gentle. I hoped they were in the greenhouse because I wanted them back.

I ran into gryffondor’s common room ready to run out. But I noticed that I had forgotten my shoes. So, I had to get my shoes ‘cause I was going to out. Of course I had to have shoes then. Then I tried again and thought I had everything. I went out from the common room and straight to outside of the castle. Sun was shining but it wasn’t pretty warm yet. I breathed deeply the fresh air. Spring was coming, that was sure.

I almost forgot my gloves again. I just watched blue sky and a few clouds that were sailing up there. I smiled (what a surprise…) because everything was so beautiful. Sunshine made everything look so much more colourful. My gloves still were at the greenhouse and I sighed gently. I continued my way to the greenhouses watching the sun and smiling back to the sunshine.

I opened a door of the greenhouse 3. The greenhouse was really beautiful. There was every kind of magical plants. I stopped for a moment and just watched colourful flowers and moving plants. Yes, some plants moved little bit. And that plant had teeth! Oh, I had to avoid that. I didn’t want to get eaten.

Then I saw a boy. He was maybe 11 or 12 years old. And his hair! It was awesome, it was purple! I smiled but I didn’t know did he see it. “Hey!” I said smiling, “Have you seen my gloves?”

Ivan had chosen spend his spare time at greenhouse 3. Not first place where you suppose to find second grader boy beyond the lessons (some of them don’t be there even during lessons). But for this particular boy that was quite normal to spend extra time with plants. Somebody could whisper behind the back that Ivan would like plants more than people. And, kind of it was the truth. If Ivan had to choose to safe at burning castle first grader, a cat or a plant, he would have chosen to save the plant. Sure mainstream would say that, Ivan be crazy. Of course you should safe human, not the plant. But Ivan don’t care what people say.

Ivan was completely absorbed in his work when somebody say “hey” with loud voice. That plant what Ivan was taking care got scared and balled up. That individual was very shy one. Ivan turn to look that person who was frightened poor little plant. “T-thank y-y-you…” Ivan say and try appease the plant. “G-gloves? No... I haven´t”, he answer to the question.

I saw how the plant got scared because of my voice. Oops. “T-thank y-y-you…” said the purple-haired boy. “I’m sorry”, I whispered back, “I didn’t know that… umm… the plant would get scared. I don’t have so large knowledge of plants.” And I really was sorry. The boy tried to appease the plant and I hoped he would manage it. The boy said that he hadn’t seen my gloves. I sighed. “Where could they be?” I mumbled.

I walked to the boy and the plant. “I’m sorry”, I whispered again. “Who are you?” I asked and smiled kindly. “What is this plant? Can you tell me something about it?” I asked. I wanted to be nice and talk about things the boy would like. I knew that he liked plants because he was here at the greenhouse. No one who wouldn’t like plants would be at greenhouse beyond the lessons. And I was curious. I liked plants too but I didn’t know much about them. I sat on the border of flowerbed and waited for more information about this beautiful but timid plant.

Girl said that she doesn’t know that, plants can scared. How she doesn’t know that? Sure everybody should know at least that about magical plants. Ivan doesn’t offer to help in the search for gloves because he had more important things to do. And when he say “more important” he mean that little plant which still was really frightened. “D-don’t be a-a-afraid, li-little o-one. It’s j-just a gi—girl”, Ivan whispered gently to the plant.

“I’m Ivan Kushnir a-a-and th-this is Thin-leaved R-rens”, Ivan introduced himself and the plant, which began a little to open its leaves. “T-this one is l-little a-a-and c-completely ha-ha-harmless”, Ivan told. To Ivan completely harmless means that, plant wasn’t normally deadly. “V-very se-se-sensitive m-magical p-plants. Some m-magical c-creatures h-hate smell of t-this p-plant”, Ivan told. “N-normally p-people don’t s-smell it. If y-you s-smelled R-rens, y-you sh-should run as q-q-quick as po-possible, as far as po-possible”, Ivan told.

”D-don’t be a-a-afraid, li-little o-one. It’s j-just a gi—girl”, lilac-haired boy whispered to the plant. I felt little bit embarrassed because of I had scared the plant. And I had a feeling that the boy’s first impression about me wasn’t really nice. Well, I couldn’t do anything to it now.

“I’m Ivan Kushnir a-a-and th-this is Thin-leaved R-rens”, Ivan Kushnir introduced. “Okay, nice to meet you, Ivan, I’m Renée Mason”, I said and smiled. I giggled a bit to the plant’s name because one of my nicknames was ‘Rens’. “T-this one is l-little a-a-and c-completely ha-ha-harmless”, Ivan told. Actually, the plant didn’t look harmless and I thought it was really big. I have seen smaller plants too. But I kept all thoughts inside my head and just listened. “V-very se-se-sensitive m-magical p-plants. Some m-magical c-creatures h-hate smell of t-this p-plant”, Ivan told. “N-normally p-people don’t s-smell it. If y-you s-smelled R-rens, y-you sh-should run as q-q-quick as po-possible, as far as po-possible”, Ivan said. “Oh, what kind of smell has Rens?” I asked little bit worried. Did I smell it? I guess I didn’t. I just smelled mixture of plants and dirt, like I smelled in every greenhouse. “Why is it dangerous to smell Rens”, I asked curious. Did it bite? Or was the smell poisonous?
